Writing to Win Writing Cycle Packets Organize student and teacher process writing with these convenient,ready-to-use writing portfolios. Working Portfolios lead teacher and student through process-writing projects in an organized and systematic way. The portfolios provide practice with three first
drafts for which students receive full credit. Students are prompted to select one first draft to move through the rest of the writing process. A completed Working Portfolio for Teachers provides model writing for students to follow year after year. A completed Working Portfolio for Students adds value to parent-teacher conferences. Included with the Working Portfolios for Teachers and Students are the corresponding Unassisted Writing Samples. These writing samples are administered upon the completion of the Working Portfolios, and they assess how well students create final drafts in
the same genre of writing completely on their own. The completion of both a Working Portfolio and an Unassisted Writing Sample moves through four distinct genre each year:
